"No, wait!" Rachel cried, trying her best to fight against Krepie's strength, but she was no match for the mermaid's superhuman might; her arms were well and truly pinned!
"Ow! Hey, why so rough?" Stella shouted at Prima, extending a pair of roots to wrap around her assailant's hands and try to pry herself free from her grasp...

Prima braced herself as the vines wrapped around her hands. She dug her heels into the dirt and began to pull back. It was her strength vs the plant, flesh vs roots, and as she leaned back, she dug her fingers into the roots.
As for Rachel herself, the situation was only getting worse. Krepie refused to budge, instead repositioning herself so she was seated on the girl's chest, each leg spread out to pin down an arm. She leaned forward.
"I recommend you cry uncle and give up. You won't get hurt any more that way." She teased.

Stella fought with all her might, tugging her roots tightly against Prima's superhuman strength. for such a small flower, she put up a good fight; however, it was certainly a losing fight. Stella could feel her grip on Rachel slipping, despite her best efforts to stay connected to the girl. But Stella still tried her best to resist, even though she knew it was a hopeless fight.
Rachel, meanwhile, was struggling to hold back tears, both from pain and from the humiliation she was being put through. She had no place in this arena; she was just a little gardener, not some tough warrior! She shouldn't have ever entered in the first place...
Hearing the teasing of Krepie, Rachel begins to cry proper.
"Rachel, no! Don't give up We- AGH! - we can still get through this!" Stella shouted as she struggled against Prima's grasp.
"I-I can't do it anymore, Stella!" Rachel cried out. "I give up, uncle! Uncle!"
_____________________________________ Next to the announcer's stand, the orc referee turned to the announcer proper. "Guessin' I should call the match now, eh?"

The announcer turned their head to the orc. They were a fae, a tiny small thing only as big as the head of the microphone they were floating before. Her skin was a pale pink hue identical to her hair, and her wings were like those of a dragonfly, and vibrated just as fast. "Yeah. I don't wanna see the girl get punished so bad."
She cleared her throat, and shouted into the microphone. Her voice was amplified to a near deafening roar. "THIS MATCH IS OVER! Rachel has conceded defeat! Despite Stella's best efforts, the plant just couldn't do everything by herself. It was fast and decisive, and perhaps in the future, we'll see a more seasoned Rachel grace us with her bag of tricks!"
In the pit, the twins relented on their assault. Prima leg go of Stella, and Krepie slid off of the girl, yet there was a mucus left over that covered the girl's shirt, a sticky residue left over.
"O-oh, let me clean that off of you." Krepie ran her hand down Rachel's shirt, and scooped off the mucus that was there. "Sorry about that. All is fair in war. THat's what my old master always told us."

From behind the roaring crowd, Brutus glanced down in amusement at Phanna's furry tail lashing sharply against his backside. "I get yer pissed, Red," he chuckled. "Jus' stop take'n it out on my buttocks."
Phanna mumbled an apology, taking in a deep breath and focusing her thought on her tail. The whipping appendage fell still.
"Kid don't seem hurt bad," the orc continued. "She'll be 'right."
The faun only grunted.

Rachel didn't reply to Krepie. She merely lay in the arena, curled up in a small, defensive ball, and silently crying to herself. Stella quietly tried to comfort the sobbing girl, but it seemed to be to know avail.
"I-I'm sorry, Stella, I'm a failure," Rachel sobbed to her companion.
"Sssh, it's okay Rachel, it's okay," Stella said. "You did your best, that's what's important."
"Doing my best isn't winning my dad the prize!" She said back, tears streaming down her face.
Approaching the downed girl, the orc referee leaned over and spoke. "Sorry if'm interruptin', but you're gonna have to get outta the arena. I can escort you out if ya want."
"Yes, we'd like that, right Rachel?" Stella said. Rachel nodded in reply. trying her best to hide her tears.
"A'ight," the referee said. "Hold on tight."
The orc hoisted the young girl onto his shoulder, before taking her out to the infirmary.

The twins watched as Rachel was moved out of the pit. They as well left, to let the next contestants move up.
"A fighting pit is no place for a child." Prima smirked.
"If only she wasn't the weak link, then maybe we would have had to try." Krepie replied.
Prima smiled. "Both halves must share the burden evenly. Otherwise, all it takes is one mess up, and it all crumbles away."
Krepie was about to reply, when she noticed the towering masked woman staring back at them. She felt shivers run down her spine once again, and she still had no idea why. Why was this woman giving her the creeps so much?
"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, WE'RE ON TO THE SECOND HALF OF THE QUARTERFINALS!" The announcer's voice rang through the area. "For match 3, she's the tallest fighter we have, and someone who's been here a few times. She's amassed a cult following, and an equally vocal cult of haters. Her skills are unique and her style simple, but her presence cannot be ignored! LEECH LASS TAKES THE STAGE!"
The tall woman made her way down into the pit. Just as the announcer said, the crowd was split with her. Many chanted her name and a few screamed how they wanted to be crushed between her thighs or in her bossom, but others had nothing but venom for her, and called her "an oversized whore", and "Dumb brick shit!"
Yet, she ignored it all. Her gaze was instead focused only on the twins on the sidelines. She raised up her middle finger, and pulled the bottom of her eye down, and stuck her tongue out at them.
"E-EXCUSE ME?!" Prima stammered. What was this girl, a brat?! Why do that to them?! Why not save that for her actual opponent?!
"And her adversary, a newcomer to the arena! Not much is known about her, but there are already rumors! Is she from a foreign land, from powerful influential parents? Let her action speak for her louder than words, for IT'S RYVANN'S HOUR TO SHINE!"

Emerging from the tent with both her arms up in the air, Ryvann cheers the crowd on in an attempt to get them all riled up. Moving herself into the center of the arena, Ryvann positioned herself across from her opponent.
"You're quite a lot of lady, aren't you?" Ryvann stated aloud to Leech Lass, just as the handler who had approached Bugbear before approached her. Giving the handler little time to talk, Ryvann immediately gravitated to something more her style: a wooden sword and a small wooden shield. Picking them up and swishing them around to get a feel for their weight, Ryvann adopted a stance for battle.
"Guess we'll see if speed or brawn wins out today."

Leech Lass nodded. "If it's anything like the old nursery rhyme, then the slow worm should get the bird. But we'll see."
"LET'S GET READY TO FIGHT! LET THE MATCH BEGIN!" The announcer's voice echoed through the ears of all present.
Leech Lass sprung toward Ryvann with a speed that belied her frame. With both of her hands clasped together, she bent low and swung her fists up toward the side of Ryvann's shoulder...

Surprised by the lightning speed at which the massive woman attacked, Ryvann ducked behind her shield in an attempt to deflect the blow. Her shield managed to catch the impact and force Leech Lass to her side, but not without a cost to herself; the immense physical might of the woman, coupled with her mass, nearly knocked Ryvann right off of her feet.
"Damn!" The auburn-haired woman cursed as she slid backwards, struggling to maintain her balance. However, Ryvann was quick to recover, and quicker to counterattack. Seeing that her deflection had managed to buy her precious few seconds, Ryvann aimed a lunge with her wooden blade at the back of Leech Lass' knee, aiming to make her opponent buckle underneath her own weight...

The towering woman tried to turn for a counterattack, and the blade which was aimed at the back of her knee instead hit the muscle just below it. The wooden weapon all but bounced off the hardened calf, yet there was a wince of pain from the taller woman. The leg and knee hit the earth, but Leech Lass twisted her body, and brought her other leg right into Ryvann's side...

Shocked by her opponent's resilience, Ryvann was caught flat-footed by her opponent's leg swinging out and striking her side. The impact caused Ryvann to collapse onto the earth and knocked the wind out of her. Despite the pain, however, Ryvann was quick to perk up and spin herself onto her feet, maintaining a defensive stance for her foe's next attack...

Leech Lass sprung back onto her feet. She was surprised, this girl was putting u a better fight than she had assumed.
She smiled. She liked those who had fight in them. She didn't want a boring affair, but something to entertain her.
She darted in again, but this time when she was an arms length from Ryvann, she twisted her body, her body of mass shifted to the side, before she slammed her full weight into Ryvann like a battering ram...

Ryvann was prepared for an attack, but not one in the manner that Leech Lass lashed out with. Quickly raising her shield to block the impact, Ryvann was barely able to keep herself on her feet! The pushing force of her opponent caused the auburn-haired woman to slide farther backwards as she struggled to maintain her stance. Ryvann grunted in pain as she struggled to hold back to sheer power of her foe.
Ryvann growled as she thought about her options. It seemed she would have to resort to one of her tricks. But so soon?
Thin strands of green energy seeped up from the earth and into Ryvann's body, causing her muscles to glow a strange earthy hue. Suddenly, the forward momentum of Leech Lass stopped, and she herself being pushed back in return! With a yell, ryvann unleashed all her pent up power at once, and shoved her opponent backwards with great force!

The massive woman's eyes widened as she felt herself be pushed back. She tried to push back, but her own strength was being outdone. Yet, she could sense the energy that flowed through Ryvann.
This definitely wasn't an ordinary person, and she would have to treat her as such.
With a smile, Leech Lass rolled to the side, off of Ryvann's shield. The auburn haired woman's momentum kept her moving forward, and Leech Lass used this opportunity to plant her hands into the pit and swing her legs into the back of Ryvann's knees...

Unable to stop her momentum from her push forward, Ryvann staggered past her opponent, before the leg of Leech Lass found itself buried into the back of her knee! Grunting in pain, Ryvann felt her leg buckle beneath her weight, causing her to roll across the ground from her forward momentum.
Huffing from the pain and feeling the brief of strength fade from her body, Ryvann slowly pushed herself to her feet. She watched her opponent cautiously. She knew she was at the disadvantageous position... but maybe if she kept herself looking weak here, she could bait her opponent into a reckless move that she could counterattack...

Leech Lass was still on her hands. With her head nearly touching the ground, she gave Ryvann a smile.
"Ryvann's in serious trouble! RYvann's skill and positioning is top notch, but Leach Lass's strength and size are indomitable! How much more can the young lady take from this god among mortals?!" The announcer's voice rang out.
The giant woman bended her arms down, then straightened them out like a loaded spring. She threw herself right at Ryvann, her feet aimed right for the woman's chest, with the hope of striking her against the wall of the pit for a decisive crippling blow...

Panting heavily, Ryvann watched as her opponent lunged towards her feet-first, aiming to smash her into the edge of the arena. Loosening the strap on her shield before moving her hands to her wooden sword, gripping it tightly. She just had to wait for the exact right moment to strike, and she might be able to end this fight in a similarly decisive blow.
Seconds felt like minutes as her opponent hurtled toward her. But then, like clockwork, the opportunity arrived: her foe was within 3 paces of her and approaching rapidly.
With a quick sidestep, Ryvann maneuvered to the side of her foe before swinging her wooden sword with all her might, aiming to strike her opponent right in the stomach...

The wooden blade struck home, and the edge plunged into Leech Lass's side. It didn't break the skin, but the kinetic force was still felt, and the giant woman's eyes widened in shock from the strike. The air was knocked from her lungs, and the blow threw her trajectory off so she struck the wall back first and landed with a thud.
"AN OUTSTANDING MANEUVER! Ryvann pulls a fast one and delivers a punishing blow!" The announcer boomed.
Leech Lass rolled to her hands and knees, and placed one hand over her stomach. Her mouth hung open as if to catch her breath, and for a moment her tongue flickered out, and several serrated appendages to it could be seen flickering and flailing before she drew it back in. "That... That hurt..." She rose to her feet, and her gaze upon Ryvann changed. Before, it had been a soft, playful look like an owner playing with their pet dog, but now her eyes had hardened, and every muscle in Leech Lass's body tensed. Her hands reached the floor, and she darted forward, her body low to the ground, as she brought her hands up against her neck in an X shape so her elbows were jutted out. Her target was Ryvann's own midsection...

Twirling her wooden sword with newfound pride, Ryvann raised her arms to the crowd, raising a round of cheering and applause to her success. Is this what it felt like to be an arena champion? If so... DAMN did it feel good!
Suddenly, Ryvann heard the voice of Leech Lass behind her. Knowing her battle was not quite done yet, Ryvann turned around;;; just as Leech Lass' body approached her own! Ryvann did not have enough time to intercept the blow, and was struck right in her kidneys by the ferocious impact! The blow immediately floored Ryvann, sending her tumbling across the ground for about three meters before coming to a stop on her side. The warrior was left was left squirming on the floor, wracked with incredible pain. It was agonizing... each breath was like someone was taking a knife to her stomach! But she knew she had to keep going; the match wasn't over yet!
Achily pushing herself to her feet, Ryvann huffed and puffed, before readying her wooden blade once more. It was time for one more dance...
