Upon hearing the hell-knight speak, the icy expression of the stranger melted, her frowning mouth losing all its tension and her onyx eyes widening. Her stance remained taut and battle-ready though.
"Qoineum epse nin pistoli," she replied in the same dialect. Her deep, ungendered voiced gleamed with something that resembled hope as she continued. "Nivos Lengoua to liquares. Arken vanestes?"
-
With a ragged cry approaching a sob, the assassin threw herself to the side, narrowly avoiding being cleaved into pieces by the malign rays. They sheered strips her cloak off as she tumbled. When she came to a stop, her heels bloodied by the impact against the roof, the tiny woman sent a damp-eyed glare back at Demmy. The traumas of today were finally starting to loosen her cold, guarded demeanor. She hated this city. She hated these people.
As she simmered in her hatred, fantasizing about a successful attack on the meat and her monstrous friend, the miniature hitwoman failed to notice a fourth projectile: this one solid and black as night.
The rooftop below the assassin fell away as a four-foot bolt blasted through the top floor as if launched from a ballista. Mussurana stood triumphantly on the opposing roof, her right arm wrapped in soot muscles that made it twice as large. The entire corner of the building crumpled, sending the assassin plunging towards the inferno below. Now hollering outright, she only barely managed to catch herself, her fingertips glowing an agonized purple on the edge of a flagpole.
Mussurana flipped back down to the windowsill. Her high, womanly voice drifted to where Molly hid. "Are you certain that your 'friend' is any less dangerous?"
-
"A place to rest," Alex answered for the injured Pientan, helping her stand with a shoulder.
Nauyaca giggled into his shirt despite her state. "Y... You should carry me more often, Lex."

The soldiers, numbering few at this point, nonetheless rushed towards their human opponents. Chalodna's rounds struck two of the warriors in the arms and chest, crippling them and causing orange-hued blood to spray from their bodies. The others quickly raised their shields and recovered their spears, keeping their heads and torsos hidden behind the black iron disks in order to protect themselves from the two guards. The warriors maneuvered themselves in such a way as to try and encircle the two humans and cut them off from possible support...
The hellish knight snorted at the stranger, as his face contorted into a cruel sneer.
"Egnetor to as usenos," The figure grumbled before shaking his head. "Egnam vina ud tanabraus, Infernum. Pruacaparut mehe Dimenos at vustubet tarrum hunc par dimeni preme unolom, Bel." The figure readied his blade, as the edge became aglow with a fiery light. "At agi entarfeceum ta se ipirtat. Lebarat, demedeom sungoenes."

Demmy almost chuckled at the plight of the assassin. She really was struggling... Perhaps she should just put her out of her misery...
until she heard the words of Mussurana, and the response from Molly.
"Demmy is not a danger to any of us! I know she isn't! If she wanted us dead or... maimed or..-"
"Molly, both of you are correct, in a sense." Demmy was panting. The wounds she had sustained were slowly closing, but that didn't make the pain any less. "In a sense, I am dangerous... but only to those against you, or those close to you."
She turned to where she knew Molly was hiding, and her one good eye flickered there as well. "I owe you a life debt for that day three months ago, and until that debt is repaid, I am no threat to you, or anyone close to you. On my word as an Abyssian demon, as the youngest child of Tartarus and Gaia, as the 85th Ruler of Sheol, my word is one I will not break, no matter what."
She shifted her gaze back over to Mussu as she turned back to prevent any attacking infernals from getting near the restaurant. "There is your answer, warrior of the gods. If you do not believe me, then I will explain in full after this is all over, either with my fists, or with my tongue."
"Demmy...." Molly muttered. Her heart was fluttering in her chest. "Demmy..."

"Oh fucking craptastic. THey just don't know when to quit"! Chal grumbled. She was running low on ammo, so she tried to aim her next shots at the legs of the infernals, and let her gun shoot out.
beside her, Xero, with one last grenade on him, hurled it at the demons.

"Then I know a place. A block from here, an underground storehouse. Let me help you."
She began to move to Nauyaca's other side, when she heard a shrill, deep caw. The color on her face paled. That noise.... She... She recognized that noise. "We have to hurry, fast!" She looked down the street to the right. That was their destination...
High above, the Hell Ravens slowly began their descent upon the city. With so many dead, there was plenty to feast on...And more.

The frown of the beetle-skinned stranger returned with an audible exhale. As she breathed, two long, slender blades of darkness slid from her sleeves and into her hands, as if pushed from her very lungs.
"At nin nicoaront niqua uleanua paparcet," she declared, face hardening once more.
One of the shadowy swords was raised towards the hellish knight. "Nivos Lengoua qaum iparir vis scera?"
-
"God," Mussurana corrected venomously. "There is only one goddess, demon. And it's not a question of do or don't. It's a question of can. You've already proven yourself a liar. Even to the one you calls you her friend."
The giant lebran woman leaned down, her grossly enlarged arm melting away into a curtain of ash. "But believe me, creature. You will answer my questions when this is over."
-
"W... What are those?" Alex asked, head angled upwards. "I d... don't recognize them."

The thumping of ironclad feet grew louder near Alex, Nauyaca's and Micah's location. Plumes of dust and debris filled the air, followed by the creaking sound of metal mixed with a human gurgle sounded in unison. It appeared that the trio were not out of trouble just yet...
Near the violet bar, it seemed as though some of the iron monsters had decided to focus on the two guardians... or at least, combat them to some effect. The creatures marched through the smoke, debris, and corpses that now littered the streets of Mival, crushing objects underfoot thanks to their monstrous tonnage. The creatures glared at the duo with eerie fiery eyes, their freakishly human faces twisting into an hideous scowl. The creatures, numbering in ten overall, lowered their arms as a 3 foot long jagged blade extended itself from each of their arms. With a bellow like scraping metal, the creatures rushed towards the two beings guarding the bar, intent on fighting them. Or so it seemed....
Two of the infernal soldiers have their legs cut out from under them by Chalodna's fire, causing them to collapse under their weight as their legs exploded into showers of orange-hued gore. Having caught on to Xero's grenade tactic finally, the soldiers quickly scattered at the sight of the weapon, with some diving out of the way of ground zero to evade the resulting explosion. One of the warriors caught a fatal round to the head, slaying the fiendish creature. With only four warriors effectively remaining, the soldiers ditched their previous tactic and instead rushed in headlong towards the duo, shields raised and spears lowered. They hoped to at least be able to kill one of them....
The knight spoke with surprising clarity and placidity. "Moltu descemos en Infernum. Nin ast iccoltutom monde icoles nistres. Mondos ta noleom ist uleod." The knight's blade lot its fiery glow as he sheathed his blade. "Nibes dicabet nis vastru varos pitanteula, demedeom sungoenes. Nin nacassa ast assa silos upod huac naqoum crautorua." The figure extended a hand towards her. "Feare onom. Longi nibes."

It took all of Demmy's will to not just shake her head and laugh at Mussu's attitude. Oh what a world she was going to reveal to the ashy woman once this was all said and done.
"I fully plan on doing do." She answered, before her attention shifted to the approaching golems. "I won't run or hide." Her eye tentacles, once more glowing bright, turned upward into the air and fired. The concentrated thin beams arched downward, and turned back to hit the ground. Hell rained upon the approaching golems as the beams threatened to skewer them from top to bottom, if not explode everything around them...
________________
"Grenades are no longer useful!" Xero began to screech. He began to backpedal to put more distance between himself and the attackers...
Then another sniper shot pierced the night sky, and struck through the four approaching warriors, all in one shot. The infernals collapsed, and exploded in death.
"You know, they say it was the canon that killed off honorable warfare... I prefer to think the sniper rifle that did so." The sniper's voice came through their ear pieces.
"Thank you... Just, thank you." Chalodna gasped, quickly brushing off molten ooze that had splashed onto her. "Glad to see you're with us, Curt."
The voice was silent for a moment, then with a clearing of the throat, continued, "Had to readjust where I was. Sorry I was absent for a bit..."

"Nothing good. Harbingers of evil." Micah's voice was tense, and quivering. "We need to find shelter, and fast. It shouldn't be too far to the underground store."
She could see it, only a few hundred feet now as they helped Nauyaca along. A set of stairs leading downward on the side of the city street...

The inky cleavers in Adra's hands did not dissipate, but she lowered them both. When she responded to the fiend, her androgynous voice was low with gloom.
"Se ves mehe, ibsacri eru ast. Copei liqoe. Vili descara. Sad cradara nin pissom en huc orba nami degnu sulota. Nin pissom. Agi eum iccorret uleqoes que hubat."
-
"You couldn't if you wanted," Mussurana boasted. She stood stall on the narrow ledge and called an ashen javelin to each hand. They were hurled at the two nearest ironclad ogres. "The eyes of Falajax see all, and no place is barred from her hands."
-
"I... If they're that dangerous, you'll go warn everyone else, right?" Alex asked, throat bone dry.
Although the small frame of Nauyaca was surprisingly heavy, she was suddenly much easier to help move with the heavy, metallic footsteps behind them, so their pace towards the shelter accelerated.

The javelins of ash struck two of the iron brutes, striking them in the upper chest and shoulder blade respectively. To the shock of the Rhea, however, the javelins merely bounced off with an audible TWING. On the other hand, Demmy's energy struck several of the iron beasts, stabbing into their shoulders and chest. One got struck in the head, causing the beast to collapse in a limp heap. The others, however, seemed physically unhindered by the damage to their body and closed the distance to the two warriors. The two closest iron titans lashed out with their jagged arm-blades, slashing towards their foes in a twin cross strike...
The knight shook his head to the stranger. "Nin pissom ed fucara. Nin hubai lebarom vilontutes hunc despotuteinam. Maom at agrassom at entrietom maom dimene vilontus." The knight assumed a defensive posture and drew his blade. "Se dafandara, fet lique. Vane ud ma!"

The one that was aimed at Demmy was met with nothing but air. As the blades had surged toward Demmy, the demoness had sprung up, and leaped clean over the slashes. As her body rose, she twisted so her legs were bent back and aimed at the golem's head, before kicking out at full strength. The strike rattled the golem's head, and sent it staggering backward as Demmy landed on her feet. Her one good eye had noticed what had befallen the golem that was struck in the head, and she smirked.
"Aim your strongest blows at the head. That is their weak spot." She said, as her eye tentacles spiraled forward as a single entity, aiming to skewer the nearby titan or at least blast it away with more dark power...

Finally, they reached it. Micah slowly began to help Nauyaca down the stairs, which took a few moments.
"Yes, yes I will. First, I must ensure both of you are safe." She said, as she hastily knocked on the door. The first knock opened the door slightly to Micah's surprise, yet she wasn't going to question this turn of events. She led them inside, and closed and locked the door behind them.
It was a gift shop the group were now in. The walls and shelves were lined with plushies and dolls of various figures, human and inhuman, monster and animal, all over their lengths, and several different kinds of shirts, jeans, and swimming suits were on coat racks. A few lights were still flickering on and off, yet otherwise, it seemed the place was largely empty...
The fluttering of wings could still be heard through a crack in the door. fluttering, and deep, haunting caws...

The already grim face of the half-blood darkened. It seemed for a moment that she would lunge to attack the hell-knight, but instead she let her weapons fall to her sides and approached the infernal at a walk.
When she spoke, her voice was low and as gentle as it could get in its deep timbre.
"Pissom udeovura vis? Dabas assa, nin ot talom. Nami dabat. Quid ulequed set putar at mugestar nin entallegont."
-
Mussurana at first scowled at the failure of her attack, but the angry sneer was soon replaced by a smirk.
"Weak flesh makes weak weapons," she declared, raising two glowing hands in place of javelins. Like a bird of prey lifting from its perch, she leapt off the Violet Bar and towards the advancing ogre.
In a flash of crimson, its arm-blade was cut in half. "But the hand of Falajax is strongest of all!"
Laughing, the giant lebran landed lightly on her feet and placed her flattened palm to the chest of the iron-skinned brute. Instantly, it began melting into the creature, sending streams of molten iron dribbling from both his body cavity and mouth, like thick, glowing blood. As its chest was opened to the world, Mussurana thrust her other hand into it Heaving in opposite directions, the Rhea ripped the upper body of the metallic golem in two before letting its twisted, slagged body fall lifelessly to the ground.
-
"T- Thank you," Alex told Micah again. "W... We'll be okay here. Go warn everyone else."

Demmy's tendrils spiraled towards the nearest of the iron monsters, skewering it through its metallic skull. The impact caused the beast to stagger backwards, before the creature fell into a metallic heap with a clang. As Demmy was distracted, however, another of the metallic beasts lashed out with a vicious arm blade slash, the impact cutting the woman across her back and sending her sprawling across the earth from the blow. Seizing its advantage, the monster rushed forward and attempted to stomp on the recovering form of Demmy, aiming for her chest with the intent of crushing her ribs into paste.
As this was happening, another of the ironclad creatures appeared behind Mussurana, striking the Rhea with a closed fist across the shoulder with an audible crack, sending her sprawling across the earth. The monster hoisted up the lower half of its comrade before flinging it at the recovering form of Mussu, intending to crush the pientan with the ton of solid iron flung her way.
The knight lowered his arms, his entire body visibly quaking as if he was contemplating her offer. He attempted to speak, lips curled back and teeth bared, but he could not bring himself to utter words. With a final shake of his head and an anguished yelp, the knight lunged towards the stranger, his face having changed from a neutral and possibly helpful expression to one of pure hatred and rage.

"DEMMY!" Molly screamed as she saw the black blood burst from Demmy's back. The demoness's mouth was twisted into a gnarled snarl. That... That had actually hurt more than she expected, and unlike before, it was not a pain she welcomed.
And this thing was going to pay for that!
She rolled to the side, avoiding the stomp that had been aimed at her. Her eye tentacles stabbed down into the earth, and flowed with crimson dark energy. By the time the giant had turned back to try and stomp her again, the ground beneath it erupted as a pillar of dark energy consumed it. The feet of the giant were cut through, as were its sides, causing the beast to collapse onto its back, all the while the single unified beam, controlled by Demmy, twisted back down to behead the attacker for the huge gash that was now in her back...
On a roof next to the one the assassin had been blasted from, a certain fired waitress watched the chaos unfold within the city, and a dark smirk had formed on her face. "Well well... Maybe these demons will do the work for me and make those three bitches regret ever being fucking born, but if not..." She turned, and began to make her way down. She had watched the assassin's poor fortune, and an idea was forming in her head... __________
"I will, but please stay low and safe. I'll be back soon." Micah carefully told them. She stood back up, and looked for another way out. She couldn't go out the door they came in, the ravens were there, and most likely the other attackers. Instead... perhaps the open window to her side?
She walked over to it, and jumped. She grabbed the ledge, and hauled herself through the opening, which was just large enough for her to squeeze through, as uncomfortable as it was...

The crack of a gunshot split the air, and the sword was flung out of the demon's hand mid-swing. It clattered on the tiles of the rooftop nearby, a noticeable crack in the demonic stone where the bullet had hit.
Over a block away, perched on a rooftop of her own, Kyra lowered her revolver. Even from this distance she could make out the shape of the farfadet that Vesyka had described to her. Her attention drifted away from Adra and her opponent as she quickly studied her surroundings, forming an imaginary trail over the shingles and chimneys that she could follow to reach them.
She also took note of the armies in the streets, highlighted through the rows of buildings in infrared by their body heat. They seemed to be spreading their numbers out to cover as much ground as possible.
"Leslie!," she shouted into the alleyway below the ledge she was perched on. "I need you to cover me while I get to Vessy's friend."
–
Vesyka's eyes were wide as she raced through the streets with Cipo. The air was thick with dust and the chanting of demonic voices carried through the dark streets. Her small legs pumped as hard as they could. She had to intercept them...
A hoarse caw stalled her focus.
Glancing over her shoulder, Vesyka saw the fluttering of dark wings near a door they had passed. Barina's words immediately returned to her.
Children found in alleyways, killed by giant ravens...
Watching the birds attempt to break through the door, Vesyka realized she had stopped running. She had to get these animals out of the city before they could hurt anyone else, but it would distract her from the impending army...

The lebran woman quickly rolled out of the way of the mutilated remains, letting them crash besides her and pummel the road to dust. Jet black hair trailing across her back, the Pientan warrior lunged from the resulting cloud of grit and debris like a panther and slashed at the ankles of the new challenger as if her fire-clad fingers were claws, trying to cut its legs out from beneath it...
-
A sob still lingering in her voice, the assassin swung herself towards the building with a grunt of effort. Her swollen fingertips smeared a ring of blood onto the flag pole. Short legs tucking against her chest, the diminutive woman crashed through the nearest window and collapsed onto the floor, a piece of glass piercing her shin. Rolling off of the fresh injury and onto her back, the hitwoman did not rise. Instead, she simply laid there and heaved, her large, pale, shocking blue eyes wet. Her breath was thick with blood and mucus.
Why did things always turn out this way?
-
"Got it," the short brunet answered quickly. "Where's your frie-"
Lora materialized on the ledge besides Kyra. The Pientan woman looked no more winded than if she had walked.
"Oh."
-
Though she did not understand what had happened to the infernal's weapon, Adra did understand that the time for diplomacy had passed. Wings, ragged and gaseous, sprang from her back and all compassion drained from her face, as if the shadows had sucked the sympathy out of her body. Brow lowered, mouth stiff, and black eyes cold and empty like those of a predatory invertebrate, the tall, rail-like girl rocketed forward and bared a fist. Pale octagons rose across her knuckles as if grown like bacterial colonies, but they were solid bone.
Without any cry or roar of effort, her voice as absent as warmth on her face, the abnormal girl threw a hard punch towards the jaw of the hell-knight, the force behind her fist just short of what she understood to be lethal...
-
The taller form of Cipo brushed against Vesyka's shoulder. "What is wrong?"

The iron beast collapsed to the earth beneath its own monstrous bulk, crashing to the earth with a resounding *clunk*. The beast raised an arm in defense as the beam swept down towards its neck. The beam cut a path through the buildings in the distance, along with blasting off of the arms of one of the approaching iron monsters as collateral. The iron monster's blade was completely obliterated by the beam, and its neck was greeted by Demmy's beam, obliterating the bottom of its head and destroying its neck, slaying the creature. Two more of the iron monsters approach the recovering form of the nethereal being, attempting to take advantage of their allies' death...
The lebran's infernal talons strike the creature's legs and leave visible gashes, but the monster's innate fire resistance kept its legs from being cut apart completely. The abominable mass of iron stumbled, however, losing its balance from the damage to its legs. The creature snarled and turned around towards its foe, striking out with an ironclad fist in an attempt to cripple its opponent...
From her roost, Micah could see all across town. It seemed as though more of the abominable creatures had somehow been called in, albeit from a lesser rift. The creatures, numbering maybe 20 at most, were marching through the city streets, systematically destroying anything in their path - signs, stands, small buildings. The creatures thankfully seemed to not notice her and merely marched like automatons to preset destinations, which they then laid waste to. But, off through the smoke and ash, Micah could make out a pillar of infernal light that shone into the sky, and seemed to be radiating from the slummy area to the north...
The hellish knight could not stop the momentum of his swing, even with his sword being blasted out of his hand and across the floor. The fist struck Adra with surprising force in the shoulderblade, knocking her blow slightly off-balance in the process, instead causing the fist to strike the knight across the cheek bone. The sheer force of the blow caused the knight's helmet to fly off its head and sent it stumbling to the ground, blood dripping from its cheek. Adra's knuckles had been damaged from striking the edge of the helmet, blood dripping down her hand. The knight staggered to his feet, clearly dazed by the blow, before he adopted a defensive stance behind his shield, waiting for Adra to make the next move.

Were it under lighter circumstances, Kyra would have been thrilled at the prospect of having a rooftopping partner. Her mind however barely registered Lora; her attention had snapped back to Adra and her opponent the moment she saw punches being thrown.
"With me, Lora."
Like a bolt of lightning, Kyra darted the width of the rooftop and leaped the gap of the alleyway, flying over Leslie's head. She landed with perfect balance on the center of a steeply sloped roof. Racing across her tightrope of shingles, Kyra made it to the opposite end of the building in seconds. The block of buildings ended here, leaving Kyra nothing less than an entire street to leap across.
Her strong legs propelled her over the street below and into the side of a three story building, painted violet. She caught herself on the head of an iguana; part of the sign jutting out of the building, and with a well-practiced swing of her arms Kyra threw her body sideways to latch onto the nearest windowsill. She swung herself again, quickly scrambling across the side of building until she was in jumping distance of another, shorter rooftop.
Rolling into her landing, Kyra drew her revolver and aimed for the demonic knight. He was much closer now, only a few rooftops away. Her eyes directed her brain to aim the weapon perfectly towards the knight's shin...

"I was told those ravens have been... they have been killing children."
The cry of the infernals made Vesyka jump. She looked up at Cipo. "I can not leave the demons be, but something must be done about those ravens."

"You bastards... you just won't stop coming, will you?"
Demmy was panting heavy and hard. If she could just get a moment or two to rest, she would have been in a better position to fight back, but as it stood...
The sooner the source of these infernals was dealt with, the better. For now, she'd just have to hold her ground and keep trying!
Her eye tentacles returning into her empty socket, she rolled onto her back. Now the tentacles extended out from her socket and wrapped around the legs of the approaching golems, before the very same energy surged down their lengths, attempting to overload the infernals or trip them up...
___________
From where they were, Chal and Xero had been watching the confrontation between the two demonic beings, which had been crashed by a shot through the darkness that had struck the blade of the demonic knight.
"Now we got a good target to fire on." Chal said. "Curt, we're out of ammo down here. Mind lighting up this evil guy for us if you hadn't already shot?"
The response came like a a crackling thunder. Another shot tore through the night, this aimed at the other leg of the infernal knight...
_____________________
The Hell Ravens continued their assault on the door. The pecked, scratched, and tried their hardest to tear through the steel, yet it seemed to be holding them back... if only barely. By chance, one of their beaks pierced through the glass and shattered it, creating a hole just large enough for its head to peer through...
And at the forms of Nauyaca and Alex. The avian hissed, as it tried to force itself through the glass opening...
Behind it, the others began to fly up toward the other side of the building, but one took notice of Vesyka. It seemed to stare at her with a curious, hungry look, a long forked tongue flickering out of the side of its beak, before it began to fly off after the other...
____________
"There... That has to be it." Micah muttered to herself upon seeing the light. Yet, the rest of what she saw... it was so horrible. This carnage, this brutality... she knew it too well, and it sickened and scared her.
Yet she had to stop it. She needed some way to-
A shrill caw was the only warning she received. A pair of large talons dug into her back, and the woman was thrown onto her stomach, almost over the edge of the roof to the ground below. More and more weight began to press onto her back, more sharpened claws, and Micah was pinned. The cawwing stopped, and one of the large ravens lowered its beak and mouth down next to the terrified woman's ear.
"Thought you could escape? I only let you go on a leash, and now is time to reel you back in, my pet." An all too familiar voice seemed to echo from the beak of the raven, and Micah's eyes widened in horror. She couldn't move, there were simply too many of them on her, and she felt the blood dripping from her back. "I've missed you so much, that I can't bear see you wallow and degrade yourself in this den of illusions any further."

It all happened in an instant. A sharp pain struck in the armored fiend's shin, causing the creature to yelp in pain and lower his guard, staggering to one knee from the resulting blow. Orange blood dripped profusely from the wound, and the armor around the point of impact was visibly cracked inwards and broken. But before the knight could react any further, a second round tore through his other leg, shredding apart armor, flesh, and bone with shocking impunity. The knight let out what could only be described as a cry of despair as he collapsed in a mangled heap. Orange blood squirted out at a rapid pace form the other wound as it became obvious to Adra that the fiend's leg had been severed clean from its body. The knight, too overwhelmed by pain to fight back, merely grasped the mangled, bloodied stump that used to be his leg, his screams audible even through the rest of the chaos.

The iron fist struck true, but Mussurana was not phased. In fact, she smirked, because the clenched slab of metal had not struck soft flesh, but hard carbon. She had caught the blow on the back of her hand, which was encased in a compact shell of ash, armoring it.
The sneering Pientan pushed against the ironclad ogre, though, due to its enormous weight, she was the one who slid backwards. Regardless, it put the distance she desired between them. Stretching her long arms out with a satisfied sigh, one hand engulfed in fiery red, the other coated by a black exoskeleton, the lebran warrior walked slowly towards the giant.
"¡Mirer!" she barked suddenly, leaping forward. The armored hand swung out and slapped aside the outstretched fist of the ogre, leaving his chest vulnerable to an open-hand lunge with the burning hand...!
- As Lora stayed at Kyra's shoulder, making every leap and roll she did just easily, Leslie shadowed them from below, handgun gripped tight. Nothing had yet threatened them, and the short woman would be happy if it stayed that way, but she doubted their luck would be so good. The whole body of the black-haired woman tensed when she heard the gunshot. It was if she felt it more than heard it. "Kyra?" she called up in concern. - Cipo went very quiet. Her gentle voice remained soft when she rose it once more, but there was a weight behind it. A pressure. "Your friends. With the... the weapons that make thunder. They would be best to do that thing." Yellowed eyes turned down upon Vesyka. "Can you take us to them? Perhaps we can switch. I am not Lora, but I can try to help your friend in their pla-" The lebran fell silent once more. Her head twisted. "Do you hear that?" - "P- Please go away!" Alex, hands wrapped in a pair of jeans to protect them, pushed desperately at the head of the giant bird, trying to force it back out. At the same time though, he was trying not to slice its neck open on the glass. 'W... What's wrong?" Nauyaca asked from the bed of rolled up t-shirts Alex had made her. "N-Nothing, j... just rest, okay? D-Don't get up!" - The unearthly screams of agony were muted by a booted heel cracking the head of the hell-knight against the ground. As the infernal fell both silent and limp, Adra loomed over him: not to deliver the finishing blow, but protectively. The cold glare of the strange girl raked their surroundings as she hunched over the unconscious fiend, guarding his body with her own, shadowy wings arched over them like a black tent.
