Do any of your characters have preexisting fictional inspirations?
Adra : Sakaki from Azumanga Daioh. Right down to her love of cats.
Alex : Hiccup from both the book(s) and film versions of How to Train Your Dragon. The latter in particular contributed to some mannerisms.
Arias : Arias is actually based on older monsters of mine: the giant tegu Angore (cosmetically) and the undead sea monster Izu Atta (personality).
Caden : Initial concept was inspired by Akira of the manga Otonari Complex.
Croder : Inspired by the vain dragon archetype created by Smaug of course, but more specifically my favorite literary villain: Goth from Silverwing and its companions. There's probably also some Tigerstar from Warriors in there too.
The Wolf : Visually based on the werewolves of Dog Soldiers.
Dieter : Leans of a lot of the traits associated with the shonen rival character.
Guan : Early tooth-and-claw Showa monsters like Anguirus and Varan.
Lark : Balsa from Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit.
Rochilda : Strangely, Adra. She's adapted from the character Jetta, a boss from my Dungeons & Dragons 3.5e campaign The Plunge, who in turn arose from the (first) player character version of Adra.
Sam : Riza Hawkeye from Fullmetal Alchemist.
Sira : Sam. Like Rochilda, she's adapted from a Dungeons & Dragons 3.5e character, Athina, who was made in Sam's image.
Sweetheart : This is an odd one, but... Grumpy from the 2009 Land of the Lost film. I just liked the fact that a semi-realistic dinosaur was presented with such personality.
Tyra : Made to be the opposite of the archetypal protagonist from cheap creature feature novel AKA white, hotheaded males who are tragically hung up on the death of a girlfriend or wife (Tyra had a boyfriend who was eaten by a polar bear, but she acknowledges they both knew that was a possibility and has long since accepted it).
Yanagi & Yuuta: No real inspirations, but there were named after the main male protagonists from the manga Last Game and light novel Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions respectively.

Alondra : Back in the day when she was only a secondary character, Alondra was inspired not by a particular fictional character, but by a trope. Or more specifically, a big 'ol middle finger and inversion of that trope. The difference was only made more clear after I made her the main character of her story. While I only saw the series some time after creating Alondra, I imagine Korra from The Legend of Korra might have had some small degree of influence as well.
Kyra : There's a lot of trickster rogue archtypes in fiction. Notably, there's been a few comparisons to Jack Sparrow in the past. But Kyra's origin, at least of her personality, stems all the way back to Mark Jackson, from Dogora, the most underrated Toho kaiju-film Showa era character. As for where the rest of her character came from...
Kendra : Kendra is based heavily on an old "draft one" version of Kyra (named Keira at the time), who was a much darker and more vengeful character that struck from the shadows of the city and wilderness with knives. Keira herself was inspired, at least in terms of her physical abilities, from the older Assassins Creed games, though in re-imagining that character for Kendra I think a little bit of Revy from Black Lagoon has crept in as well.
Devika : Inspired by Keira, again. At least, her design was. Devika was originally invented as an off-screen NPC for the RP chat that Kyra had met. When another character asked Kyra what Devika was like, I pulled the description directly from Kyra's old "draft one" design, thinking Devika would never see actual screentime. Well, look how that one turned out, lol. That's why Devika and Kendra are twins in CC: they share the same design origins.
Vesyka : I recall the original UCA version came to be from the idea of "just because a creature is one of darkness doesn't mean it's one of evil." Course she was a dragon back then (long story) and she's changed a lot since then, to the point that she's hardly recognizable as the same character. I'm not sure what this new and improved Vesyka has been inspired by, to be honest, though her relationship with the Phantom does happen to bear similarities to characters such as Jeckle and Hyde or the Hulk. She was never directly inspired by either of these, though, that's merely coincidence.
T.J : This is a weird one to match Sweetheart's... a character named Kinzie from Saint's Row. That said T.J hardly resembles that initial inspiration anymore.
Hartwin : Probably a certain Pacific Rim character... >_>
Gameela : Inspired originally by some Hunger Games character that stuck out to me when I watched the movies. Don't remember the character's name, though they weren't hindered by a birth defect or a particularly good shot from what I remember. I don't even think they were black, it was really just the general attitude that inspired Gameela.
Nyvanna : Probably Morrigan, a shapeshifter from Dragon Age that shares a similar demeanor. She even turns into a dragon in the third game, come to think of it. Oh, and speaking of which, I remember having a goal of mimicking Maleficent when leveling Nyvanna up in DnD, so I guess there's shades of that character in her too.
The Blind Queen : Another Dragon Age character inspiration: Witherfang/The Lady of the Forest.

Hilde: Definitely wasn't inspired by a similarly named character in Soul Calibur, nope. Totally original.
Yuria: I'm not entirely sure, but I think my use of ice magic was inspired by the Lich King in Warcraft.
Owlzarus: He was inspired by Wan Shi Tong from Avatar: The Last Airbender, down to the giant, seemingly endless library. He isn't as aggressive about people using his knowledge for violent ends, however.
The saurians in general: Their design is primarily inspired by the lizardmen/seraphon from Warhammer Fantasy/Age of Sigmar.
Fhlr Dahl: His nature magic and his ability to utilize plants was actually kind of inspired by how the Millenian used underground cables to grapple Godzilla in Godzilla 2000, oddly enough. His giant manifestation of the Grbaslyn in a giant golem-like construct was inspired by Perfect Chaos.
Rovagug: From a design perspective, his biggest inspiration was definitely King Leonidas, with the bigass shield and a spear in his main hand. From a story perspective, his story has a lot of similarities to Guts.
Mana: I always just found middle eastern weaponry and warfare really cool.
Zarmutok: He has shades of Astaroth from Soul Calibur, what with being a sadistic, bloodthirsty executioner.
Molagh: His design was primarily inspired by the yugioh card Caius the Shadow Monarch.
Rukh: Him and all the sheekhs drew a lot of inspiration from the Sangheili from Halo and from the Black Hole Planet 3 Aliens from Godzilla. Personality wise, he takes a lot of inspiration from Half-jaws, aka Rtas Vadumee, from Halo.
Fatum/The Horror of Haudspes: The new design for the Horror is primarily inspired by he Abomination's beast form's design in Darkest Dungeon.

And now, the least original person here...
Demmy: Her mannerisms are somewhat split: Her human persona takes a bit from Meliodas from Seven Deadly Sins (minus being a lech... somewhat), while her true serious personality has elements from various pragmatic intelligent villains across various media. In terms of design, it's heavily based off the Insidious demon from Bayonetta 2
Molly: Just your average girl, with a design frankenstein'd from your average every day girl, with elements from Bella and Alice.
Chalodna: I... don't really know the inspiration for her. Design is based off a character from Azure Lane
Micah: Design is also based on a character from Azure Lane. Personality-wise, she takes elements from a few werewolf fanfictions I've read years back.
Vira: Based heavily off one of the maids from Overlord.
Curt: based on Trevor, an old character of mine from an earlier RPG, down to being a sniper working for a powerful entity.
Tama: design was taken from a character creator video I saw for Code Vein, and from Medusa from Kid Icarus Uprising. Her personality is somewhat similar to the latter, but far less malicious, with inspiration also taken to a particularly famous japanese folkstory...
Vasaluta: The Goblin King in appearance. That is all.
Tomiel: Appearance is based off Albedo from Overlord. Personality wise, is more of a shrinking violet too terrified to take control of their own destiny.
Circe: Elements from one of my previous major villains, Persephone, mixed in with the crazy devout evil priest who wants to please their god.
Prateria: Venus from Pokemon Colosseum is her main inspiration, same goes for Chang'e from WoG.
jettro: The Emperor of Man from Warhammer, mixed with touches or Julius Caesar and Hitler into one fine being.

My inspirations are absolutely all over the place when I design a new character, but more specifically:
Bronrod: Korst Wind-Eye from The Elder Scrolls III and Lasan Skyhorn from WoW. Visually based on a Mexican wrestler guy who walks around with a bird head on his own head. Noataq: Tonraq from the Legend of Korra. Visually, he's based on a picture of an ice dragon I saw that had ice spikes and paws that looked like bird hands. He also has influence from Jean-Bison of Sly 2, notably his speech. Nor: He's inspired by the tuskarr and their culture in general. Ditto with Sagani. Roanauk: A less-than-subtle homage to Roanauk Icemist from WoW.
