For when you want something discussed on a public forum rather than behind closed doors - metaphorically of course. Or literally. I don't know.

Thank you for this. I have a decent amount of questies I think of - and oftentimes forget about - and this is a good place for me to ask them. Like I said in another post, I'm an observer for now (an obbserver?), but I like to think of things I could do, so they're usually "what if" questions. I think they're worth discussing so anyone happening upon this thread can see clarifications and such.
I have a couple of things I wrote up in Wordpad, but I'm going to wait a bit before posting them.
Edit: Okay, mostly recovered, so here's the questions I had until I think of something else.
- What is the size limit of the "character" type of... well... characters? Most of those I've seen seem to be around and below the 10-feet range, but if you know me well, then you know I like to use big friendly floofs as my characters. Those tend to be at least above 15 feet tall. So, if I were to bring one, what height would poof be limited to? I assume a "boss poof" would be allowed to be bigger than the normal poof? And quadrupedal poofs would have different size rules, so in that case, how about those? - Do mooks have to be RP'd by their owner or they're more of a "public domain" type of thing? I have a big whale I wanted to donate when I thought it could spark up some interesting stuff for the RPG (a unique ecosystem, a cool method of transport, some new possible stories, some interesting selfies to be taken on his back, etc.). He's meant to be usable by everyone. - Meathead battles! I know this is a more story-oriented RPG, but are battles like those found in the training section on Wog okay? I love those. Dan likes them too. I think we could have lots of meathead battles together, especially with his roster having all these monsters in a similar size range as what I typically come up with. I've seen plenty of mooks fight in the threads, but what about battle threads? They gud? - I know the rules say "have to have one combat-related weakness", but since this is a story RPG, I'm curious; what happens if someone wants their character to have a plot-based weakness? For example, needing some special artifact or something to take down an unbreakable shield around a monster? That IS technically combat-related, but there is the whole thing about finding the artifact and learning about it to begin with. - Suggestion: I know the rules say "use your better judgment" (of which the repetition makes me think of this) for combos, but I think those are so confusing it'd be actually good to have a set idea of how they work. Then we'd avoid misunderstandings like Ferrum Magnus' mace hands being banned or not.

1. Eighteen feet is the maximum height for a character, BUT with the standard being around 5-10 feet, characters that large usually have plenty of weaknesses to offset their size. Take Nasalja, for example. She's huge, but her weaknesses offset her size and power. For quadroped characters, it's twelve feet, or 2/3rds of that limit. For boss characters, that limit is increased to 40 feet/30 feet, and we make sure to check and clear it with others to make sure it works fine.
2. Yes, as was already indirectly answered by Hayes and Dan elsewhere.
3 and 4: That, we just check with each other to make sure it fits and works alright for plot oriented weaknesses that aren't too stingy. As for meathead battles... just ask whoever you want to partake in one with. Same goes for combos... Then again, how story oriented CC has been, there hasn't been much in the way of real monster vs monster combat outside of Madibog vs Xipil.

I have this idea for Altwog where my floofles have this "adaptive power level" thing. They're either restrained from fighting the characters that are significantly smaller/weaker or their strength is lessened so their blows don't insta-kill. It's sort of a force-field type of thing surrounding the character they're fighting. They can't pass through it, but it only affects them so the other characters that aren't restrained can fight the protected chars normally. Maybe something like that could work here? Yeah, I posted it before I got the answer, a bit like when I start asking mom a question and stop mid-sentence because the answer popped up right in front of me... Definitely will. lol

*takes a look at what “Fey” is* Ok, that’s interesting. But what I want to know is: is this website still available with everything it has? Like has anyone else done this or is there a better place to put this question, because I have no idea. This is my first time here, but from the looks of it, I kind of like it. Now then, onto seeing what “Fey” is....again.... Admin note: I moved this from here. - Hayes
