What are some moves that your characters are prone to pulling in combat?
Noataq:
- The Tonraq Tentacles: He's fond of creating watery tentacles around his forearms/hands and swinging them around like bendable blades. In both fights he's been in, he lowered these watery blades on his foes' collarbones/shoulders.
Nor:
- Water Blades: Inspired by his Beast buddy, Nor likes to use his waterbending in conjunction with his swords.
Skovska:
Most of Skovsky's moves are modified, if not directly taken from, the moveset of For Honor's Raider. Look at this gallery and knock yourself out (with an axe).
- Grappling Hook: Hooks Frykte's head around the neck of her foes and pulls them forward towards her fist. Can instead pull them and trap them underneath her arm to break their neck.
- Trip: Trips her foe using Frykte's hooked head, followed by bringing down her axe into their chest/belly. Can also be done to the enemy's back.
- Chokeslam: Grabs an enemy by the neck/throat and slams them down hard. May be turned into a backbreaker if she chooses to smack the enemy against her knee. If not done by just waiting for the foe to get near her so she can grab them, she may pull them towards herself with her axe. For a purely melee fighter, Skovsky has a VERY long reach.
- Pohk: Wacks foes in the face with the other end of Frykte. Usually hits the nose, teeth, or eye sockets.
- Chopping Firewood: Lowers Frykte onto her opponent’s skull, splitting them right down the middle. Skovsky is so powerful that the axe sometimes ends up splitting all the way down to her enemies’ chest.
- Windmill: Stabs Frykte into her foe’s midsection and spins around on herself, sending her foe flying to the side.
- Backhook: Curls Frykte’s head against her enemy’s neck from behind and kicks them away while pulling Frooktoo towards her.
- Playing Golf: Smacks a foe so that they’re bent down, then stabs Frykte into their back and flings them forward almost as if golfing.
- Impaling People On Stuff: Exactly what it sounds like; hauls up enemies above her head and throws them against something hard enough that it pierces right through them.
Usken:
- Warning Shot: Technically not an attack, but she’s quite fond of firing her crossbow in just the correct angle so that the harpoon falls right at her opponents’ feet in a warning shot. It IS an attack when the harpoon hits their head instead.
- Skeggox/Hunting Knife Combo: Flings her skeggox in an opponent’s open jaw so that they can’t close their mouths and stabs her hunting knife through the roof of their mouth.
Kit:
- Pinned Down: Pounces on an opponent so that they’re pinned underneath her girth, where she starts to maul them like the big burr she is.
- Kidney Punch: Gets behind her opponent and grabs them by the shoulder with one hand while the other punches them in the kidneys.
- Bear Hug: A classic from the UCA - she picks up a foe from behind and squeezes hard. Can also maul the opponent’s belly with her claws while they’re pinned against her and/or heat up her body so that their back is burned while their front is flayed.
- Spin Punch: Back in the UCA, Kit used to have a spinning heel kick as one of her most used moves. Since her revamp, that move has been turned into a half-spin, punch/tail swipe combo where she spins a half-turn towards one side, sending the back of her fist and her tail striking her foe. A very dangerous and unpredictable attack that requires lightning reflexes to dodge. It comes out of nowhere.
- Stomp: Based on the U-Kick (called so because she kicked her foes so hard that they bent until a U shape across her leg) that she had in the UCA, this is a huge stomp where she, well, stomps her foe’s face while they’re standing up and forces them backwards/downwards so that they end up crushed underneath her footie. Since she’s so tall next to most other monsters, it’s not at all difficult for her to lift her foot up and perform that kick/stomp. Looks visually similar to a slower Brogue Kick, but with more bear, or Godzilla when he stomps one of the Mutos.
- Kit Punch: A most feared punch in all of Beast Blood; Kit uppercuts her foe, sending them off to discover a new planet. The ones she punched from the UCA haven’t landed yet.
- Flame Fu!: Not so much a move as it is plainly her fighting style (with its own theme song); Kit LOVES to shroud her fists in flames. It’s quite iconic of her to do it.
- Palm Strike: Another Kit classic where she performs a (sometimes flaming) palm strike to her opponent’s chest.
- Prod of Doom: A modified Bruce Lee move where she shoves her finger all of a single meter forward, but it packs such a ridiculous amount of force that her foes are sent flying back. It’s an almost mocking/humiliating move, but Kit uses it as a warning to her foes of what she’s capable of; even the smallest shove of her muscles is extremely dangerous.
- Soul Tear: Inspired from the dreaded wuxi finger hold, I gave her this technique where she pulls her soul from her own body and has it attack her foes in a storm of flaming bear ghost pain. It’s analogous to weaponizing Chi and making it a physical, moving weapon.
- Rhino Charge: Totally got overshadowed by Nordisk, but Kit often charges at her foe head spikes first and rams them with her spikes and shoulder simultaneously, then thrust her head upwards to send the dood cartwheeling through the air.
- They See Me Rolling…: Kit curls up and rolls around the ground to slam into her foe; them the pin, she the bowling ball with spikes like a saw blades.
- Chew Toy: Inspired by the part from Godzilla 2014 where he bites the flying Muto by the neck before turning his head and releasing his prey, Kit bites onto her opponent’s neck and shakes them around like a chew toy. Can also see Feronius doing this.
Korraz:
- ( ( T h r o w) ): Korraz is so freakishly strong that she can single-handedly toss around foes several times her size with no more difficulty than she would have picking up a pencil. In combat, she's quite fond of grabbing her enemies and tossing/manhandling (bisonhandling) them around, usually by reversing their momentum against them while adding her own muscle to it. Whether she'll slam her foes against something or just send them cartwheeling through the air like disarticulated puppets and then crashing down hard is up to her. Really, enemies spend like 90% of the fights against her on the floor looking like pancakes. Such delicious, delicious broken pancakes.
- Thunder Stomp: Inspired by Rhino’s Stomp; magnetically charges her foot and stomps down, sending her foes flying upwards and falling back down slowly. It’s a “time out” power.
- Meteor Throw: Hauls her foes up above her head with both arms and powerbombs them almost straight down, leaving them stuck in a crater in the floor.
- Shoulder Charge: Charges forward like a footballer and rams her foes like a freight train. If there’s a wall or whatever behind them, Koko will force them to go through it, pinning her foe between a rocKoko and a hard place until either the enemy or the obstacle breaks. Koko moves around very slowly and calmly, but assuming her speed is always set to "slow as molasses" is actually a very dangerous mistake to make. She can pick up a sprint so suddenly that there's no time to avoid her when she starts running. I would suggest staying away from her, but that’s irrelevant when she magnetically pulls foes towards her when they’re too far. She forces her enemies to fight on her terms and her terms alone.
- Suplex: Picks up her foes from the back and flings them backwards over her shoulder. May or may not keep holding onto them to drive them to the ground instead of just letting them be a prey to gravity, because that’s not as fun.
- Iron Fist Punch: A straight punch to the face. Simple, fast, and devastating. Whatever momentum her enemies had is completely stopped and used against them because they practically threw themselves at a cold metal fist that has its own momentum. Usually leaves foes dropping dead or otherwise flopping on the floor, or sends them flying backwards and skidding for a while.
- Thunder Punch: Commands lightning to strike her fist, the power absorbed by those things on her gloves’ wrists. The power is then released alongside a big ol’ punch for the utmost ouchies. If she WAS a wrestler (most likely fighting to support orphanages or something), this would be her finisher. The cubs would love it.
- Relax and “...” with Me: Inspired by that scene from Mulan where Chien Po picks up Yao and holds him until he calms down, Koko just picks up her foe and squeezes them until they stop fussing/moving, typically because they lost consciousness from lack of oxygen or because they tired themselves. It happens a lot to Jorgen.
- BLACK CLOUDS AND THUNDER BOLTS: Prone to summoning thunderstorms when fights start.
And a bonus for pre-mute!Korraz:
- Get Off My Mountain: What owed her the nickname “Thunder Roarer” by the Skallbor was her ability to use wind magic to enhance her already powerful voice so she could roar loud enough to blast foes off their feet and off her dang mountain.
Feronius:
I haven’t used him yet, but I’ve thought of some moves I could see him do:
- The first is whacking his enemy with a jerk of his head to hit them with his antlers.
- The second is clenching his fists, raising them way up, and slamming them down to create an earthquake or smesh/crush a foe (in)to the ground.
- The third is just him plainly being sick and tired of his enemy’s crap and just letting himself fall onto them while he resumes his napping, suffocating them underneath his girth.
- The Balto Bear Swipe: An attack with an actual name, where he swats his foe with a big swipe of a paw to send them whirling about or flying to the side (usually against a tree or whatever object/obstacle). Named after the bear from the movie Balto because that’s specifically who Feronius reminds me of. He’s frightening and vicious.
Arctus:
- Bonk: Like someone rolling up a newspaper and swatting a fly with it, Arctus whacks an enemy by lowering his club straight down on their head. Comical name, devastating attack.
Will add the rest later 'cause lazy.
