There's a giant poker tournament across the whole of Lemuria, and all your characters are invited! Who does especially well or especially poorly?
Aad : She does okay, but it becomes obvious to perceptive players that she likes big bets. Aad likes to gamble. Maybe a little too much... anyway, she doesn't lack a poker face, but she also doesn't lack tells, so she's out long before the semifinals.
Adra : Mixed bag. On one hand, she's impossible to read. On the other, she has no idea what she's doing. She gets decently far on beginner's luck.
Alex : Does surprisingly okay since his face is actually fairly inexpressive, but his voice... not so much, so he's out before too long.
Baerbel : Solid poker face and a rock-steady voice, but bluffing isn't really her style. She's out whenever her luck with hands tanks.
Bes : Scary. Instead of a poker face, she's all grins and jokes, so she's still impossible to read. She's also no stranger to games luck.
Caden : Perfect poker face, but plays too safe.
Clay : Intimidating like Bes, but a more traditional player. She prolly gets too cocky at some point and gets figured out though.
Dani : Could go all the way to the endgame between her stoicism and super senses letting her read very fine tells, but doesn't care enough and would bow out early.
Desda : Naturally inexpressive and a master of bluffing without outright lying, so a shoe-in for the deep game. They... well, don't care though. They prolly dun even show up.
Dieter : Terrible. Too easy to read.
Feinier : Like Bes, but more unhinged a bluffer. She'd either take out the most people or get taken out really early.
Gunna : Would refuses to bluff and be entirely at the mercy of her hands.
Halley : A good bluffer who doesn't take quite as risky of bets as the likes of Aad and Feinier.
Kirk : Even worse than Dieter. She's way too expressive.
Lark : Hard to read, but plays too safe and misses out on potential big hauls.
Leslie : Surprisingly bad considering her flat face. Would get too easily worked up.
Lucia : Scarily strong until her first defeat, then she'd fall apart.
Makenna : She'd have no idea what she's doing and would just be happy to be there, which makes her hard to read in its own right.
Maria : As bad, maybe even worse, than Kirk.
Mussurana : She's get too huffy after losing hands to stick around long.
Nata : Same boat as Feinier. She's either taking early or taking down a huge number of people with sheer ballsiness.
Nefier : who the fuck invited him
Nita : She's too... twitchy.
Ragnhild : She wouldn't even show up.
Razor : There's no way she could hide her smugness when she gets a good hand or her annoyance for a bad one.
Sam : I think she'd be really good. Hard to read and would prolly be a lot more of a daredevil and bluffer than you might guess.
Sasha : She's start off shaky, but learn as she goes to be... not nearly among the best, but the tier below that.
Speka : About as good as you'd expect a conwoman to be.
Syler : Killer. She's already a pretty much constant liar.
Taber : Waaaaaaay too open.
Tema : "Ma'am, for the last time, please don't eat the cards."
Twist : Not as good as you'd expect, I think. He'd just be too mild to make any big plays.
Tyra : Really competent without stretching to an extreme like the likes of Nata and Bes. I think she'd be about on par with Sam. Rivalry? Rivalry.
Uta : Juuuust a bit too expressive to be as good as the top dogs.
Vee : She'd be into it, but... she's Vee. She'd get way too excited and give herself away.
Verd : Entirely fueled by dumb luck, because he's no liar and he prolly doesn't grasp the rules.
Yanagi & Yuuta : Both decent, though for different reasons. Yanagi would be a brick wall as far as reading him goes, but Yuuta is the molder bluffer.
Zander : haha
