Boris gave Sam a nod, before he moved towards the rear stairwell of the building. He glanced up, before he continued up the stairs, leading Sam up to the second story.
"Your room is at the end of the hall, on the far right," Boris stated. "Make sure to keep things locked up when you're out or asleep, don't want anybody unwelcome snooping through your room eh?"

Sam grunted a thanks to Boris. She began moving with little other thought for him, but paused. "If someone named Alex comes in looking for me or Bah- Vee show up... could you let me know?"

Boris smiled widely, before he replied, "Of course! Just give me a description of them so I can more easily identify them when they come in."

"Bahn," Sam began before pausing and correcting herself. "Vee. Half a head taller than me. Long, dark hair. Very... top-heavy. Alex is small. Thin. Curly hair, big eyes. They're hard to miss."
After a moment, she offered Boris her hand, just as he had her earlier. "Thanks."

Boris took Sam's hand, shaking it strongly. "No problem. It's what I do. Now go ahead and get comfortable."
With that, he headed down the stairs to wait in the bar area once more...

Slipping inside, Sam looked the room over. It was surprisingly nice. It was not the largest space, but it was well furnished and practically decorated, similar the bar and dining area downstairs. Only one bed though, Sam noted. With the knowledge that she would be cohabiting with Alex for the night in mind, her imagination traitorously conjured a number of scandalous scenarios. She forced herself to shoo them away though. She did not have the time to waste on that. She did not have any time to waste here. Shrugging her coat onto the bed and tossing her hat across the nightstand, she pushed outside, locked the door, and began to head back downstairs.
She was not letting Demmy out of her sight for long. Until she had Alex back under her supervision, that was the best way to make sure she did not take advantage of him.
