Malicious likewise stood tall, stretching to her full- albeit not very impressive- height.
"No one guided my hand," she agreed, her words harsh, but her tone strangely warm.

The towering creature's maw etched into something resembling a smile, an even more terrifying look than it normally had.
"AAAAAGAAAAIN, TTTTHANNNNKS. DDDDDDDDDOOOOOWWN CCCCCCORIDDDDDOOR, SSSSTATTTTION. PASSSSSWWWWOOOORD IS... IMACULATE." This last word it tried to say as direct as possible, yet it was clear it struggled to do so. " GGGGGGREAT MAAAAACHINE GGGGGGO FROM CCCCCITY TOOOOO ACTUAAAAAAAL LAAAAAAAANDS."
"Y-you mean... The Subway! The subway leads elsewhere than just around here?!" Saipa stammered. The subway... it now lead to other places. Perhaps... Perhaps to where the others might be, if Kyra and the others were alive. Perhaps that was where they were at!

The chimaera curled her tail inquisitively and looked up at the strange creature. "And what of you? What will you do now?"

""CHAAAANGED FROM REEEEST OF KIIIIIN. FIIIT IN NO LOOOOONGEEEEER. AAAAALTEEEERED THOOOOUGHTS AND BEEEEEEEHAVIIOR. FIIIIIIND OWN PAAAAAACE TO GO."
The titan, with a nod to the smaller chimera, burst through the doorway and left a hole where it had gone through. "SCEEEEEEENT REMEMBEREEEEED. TRACE DOOOOOOWN IF NEEED. MEEEEEET AGAIN PEEEERHAPS."
Then, it turned and crawled down the direction the two had entered in from. The long stout tail dragged behind it as bones and metal were crushed beneath its moving wake. At the end of the hall, it grabbed the elevator and ripped the doors open, then the elevator itself out of the way, before it squeezed its frame up the shaft like an octopus through a tube...
And then, it was gone, and Saipa and Malicious were alone in the labs once more...

Malicious stared at the metal wound the strange creature had left behind for a time. Tail curling, then uncurling, then curling again, she merely watched it, as if expecting some final message from it.
Eventually though, she turned back to Saipa, and her gray face as cold as usual. "Let's go," she muttered to the half-dragon.
The chimaera's wings twitched hesitantly, however, and her eyes flickered.
"You wanted to find your... companions?"

Saipa, who had been staring at the creature as it had left, snapped back to reality and nodded her head. "Yes. This is a dead city, so they cannot be here, but... the subway perhaps. And where the person who maintained this AI has come from, perhaps what you're looking for may also be there."
She began to make her way down the hallway, before she stopped. "That is, if you're fine coming with me...There should be food and more warmth wherever this subway leads us."

Malicious folded her wings around herself. "I will follow. For warmth."

Saipa smiled. "Thank you. It's also safer if we stuck together."
The half dragon slithered down the hallway, with the chimera as her company. The hallway gave way to a door that was already open. She slithered in, and was greeted with a flight of stairs downwards. She descended down the stairs slowly, each step greeted with a groan from her weight upon it.
At the bottom of the stairs was another door, this one closed. Saipa gripped the handle, and opened it. Inside wasn't a room, but a station for the subway, with the tracks that ran down the middle and the long sleek crimson subway car seated upon them. Saipa looked around to make sure no one else was present. If the car was here, then the person who took it here had to be present as well.
Yet, she saw no one. There were marks along the ground that showed something had been carried through, deep gouges in the stone floor, and long abandoned machinery in the distant dim lit corner, but no signs of anything alive. Perhaps it had just come back here by default.
She made her way to the door, and said the password: "Immaculate". At once, the door hissed and opened...

Saipa felt the weight of the chimaera on her coils once more.
"Hurry," her hushed voice commanded.

Saipa wasted no time. Once she slithered in, the doors closed behind her, and the subway began its long, rickety trip down the track. Saipa watched through the windows as they left the station, and the tower remains, behind. Where they were heading, neither of them knew. How this subway was still running, neither of them knew.
Yet, wherever this subway was heading, there would be answers. There HAD to be answers. The person who had been maintaining the Chang'e AI came this way, someone from Marlore of old, and if they were there, then perhaps the others were there as well. The AI had lied, she had to have been lying. Yes, many were dead, those she would never see again, frozen as statues in the icy carcass of the city, but if there was hope her friends, those she cared for were still alive, she would do everything in her power to see them again.
Yet, there was a pit in her stomach as well. The AI, it had mentioned how it was immortal, and even if Marlore Tower ceased to be, it would still exist. That meant it had to be connected somewhere else as well, somewhere most likely outside the city.
As the subway hurled itself through the dark tunnels, Saipa could only hope what lay ahead wasn't what she feared...
